After The Pain -- Adrienne Thompson

Author Adrienne Thompson shares her thoughts on her outlook for the new year.

Dear Reader,

Life is short, tomorrow is not promised, and we all need to live NOW. Live out loud, chase your dreams. The time will pass anyway so you might as well spend it doing something you love. Find your passion and in it, you will find your purpose. Pursue your passion relentlessly. Believe in yourself and nothing will be impossible.

And when you have a little down time, head over to, buy all of my books, and help me to keep living my dream (Sorry, had to throw that in there, lol).

Yours Truly,
Adrienne Thompson, storyteller, lover of life, dreamer.

A few questions for Adrienne:

What/Who can make you heartily laugh? Are you quiet with your laughter or do you let it all out with a good hearty laugh?

Adrienne: My children and my older brother can make me laugh out loud on a daily basis. We can find humor in strange things. I guess it’s a defense or coping mechanism of sorts. And I am loud with my laughter. I just let loose and sometimes scream with laughter. I love it!

What movie and/or book are you looking forward to seeing or reading in 2016?

Adrienne: At the top of my TBR list is Year of Yes by Shonda Rhimes and any book by Keith Cameron Smith. I would love to see the Independence Day sequel. Independence Day is one of my favorite movies.

What are the special theme or qualities about your new release or its characters that we should know and celebrate?

Adrienne: My new release, After the Pain, is book one in a novella trilogy about women over the age of 40 finding love. I really wanted to highlight real women, who look like real women, with real issues, finding love. I wanted to celebrate mature love and show women like me who are single and over 40 that all hope is not lost. The other books in the series are titled: No Pain, No Gain and Joy and Pain and are all set at a bed and breakfast in a fictional town in Arkansas.

What is After The Pain:

“He was stunning, the most beautiful man I’d ever seen…”

Barely grasping on to her sanity due to past trauma and unhappiness, forty-five-year-old LaVonda Ingram leaves her home in search of peace and finds it in the form of the love of a beautiful man. But will she be able to hold on to the healing and peace his love provides?

Author Bio:
