By the way, I’m member of Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Inc. Unlike the pledge experience of these sorors of the fictional Xi Theta Sigma Sorority, Sigma Gamma Rho has a zero-tolerance hazing policy. As a proud member of Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, our “aim is to enhance the quality of life within the community. Public service, leadership development and education of youth are the hallmark of the organization's programs and activities. Sigma Gamma Rho addresses concerns that impact society educationally, civically, and economically.” The sorority was organized by seven women at Butler University in Chicago and now has a current global membership of 85,000.
I’ve officially declared my intent to run for Romance Writers of America’s (RWA) president-elect position later this year. Currently serving my second term on the national board, the opportunity is there for me to step up and continue the great leadership and vision from past presidents who mentored me.

Booksignings and Appearances
I will be signing in the local MD/DC/VA areas with author Candice Poarch and we’ll also be autographing stock in area bookstores April - June. Check for updates on location, dates, and time.
For Jacksonville, FL residents, I’ll be attending the Southern Lights Conference where keynote speaker Suzanne Brockmann will participate in a signing with other authors (including me) on March 29 from 4:00 to 4:50 p.m. at the Jacksonville Marriott.
For Chicago residents, I’ll be attending Romance Slam Jam. Booksigning with over sixty authors will take place on May 3 from 2:00-5:00 p.m. at the Wyndham O’Hare Hotel in Rosemont, IL.
For San Francisco residents, I’ll be attending the Romance Writers of America (RWA)national conference. On July 30, 2008, from 5:30-7:30 p.m. in the San Francisco Marriott hotel, over 450 romance-fiction authors will sign books donated by publishers--with the proceeds of the sales going to literacy charities. RWA has raised over $500,000 for literacy since the inception of the "Readers for Life" Literacy Autographing event.
